Concentration Plant
Pasargad steel complex has established a concentrate plant with a nominal capacity of 1 million tons per year of iron ore concentrate, aiming to increase the efficiency of downstream industries and complete the steelmaking chain. The input feed for the concentrator unit is supplied from the mines of the complex, which mainly consist of magnetite, hematite, and hematite-magnetite ores. The processing of these feeds are different, and the initial stages of crushing and beneficiation are carried out at the mines, and the sized ore is sent to the complex. In the concentrate plant, the stages of grinding, beneficiation, and dewatering take place. Typically, through magnetic separation, the iron ore is enrichment, and the final product, with a minimum assay of 65% and in accordance with the relevant standards, will be used as part of the feed for the pelletizing unit.
