The lime plant of Pasargad Alloy Steel Industries was launched according to the schedule in 2019. The annual capacity of this plant is 75,000 tons, and the liming process includes 2 shaft furnaces 33 meters long, which are designed to produce calcined lime needed for steelmaking. For lime calcination, first, limestone with a grain size of 40-100 mm is received from the mine, then the limestone enters the shaft furnaces and calcined lime is produced. The calcined lime is then screened and sent to the steelmaking plant for use in the melting furnaces.
