Exploitation of the complex development plan with the presence of the Minister of Mining Industry and Trade

According to the report from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) news from ministry of industry, mine and trade, today, Friday, October 11th, in continuation of Mr. Abbas Aliabadi's trips to Fars pprovince, the development plan of Pasargad Alloy Steel Industries with an investment of 40 trillion rials was inaugurated and put into operation in Kuvar city.
According to this report, completing the production chain, supplying the necessary products for the metal industries, basic metals, and downstream industries are among the objectives of inaugurating the development plan of Pasargad Alloy Steel Industries. In this development plan, the production line of industrial shafts, rods, and alloy steel bars (with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons) and graphite electrodes (with an annual capacity of 6,500 tons) have been put into operation with a total investment of 40 trillion rials and the employment of 250 people.
The first phase of this factory became operational in 2012 in the production of alloy steel ingots with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year. In the years 2009 to 2019, the second and third phases were also operational in the production of iron ore pellets with an annual capacity of 3.4 million tons and sponge iron with a capacity of 1.8 million tons. Additionally, this company has been active in various industrial gases and lime calcination production, and it is also undertaking other development projects.
In a meeting with the employees and in response to the issues raised by the factory's CEO, the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade said: "We are aware that in the steel sector, equitable distribution has not been achieved, but the government is with you today."
Mr. Aliabadi added: "The determination of the thirteenth government is to identify and solve problems. Therefore, we advocate for a shift from traditional approaches to modern ones. To achieve this shift, we need to industrialize as much as possible."
He mentioned that Iran holds the tenth position globally in steel production and said: "Attaining this rank is highly significant. Currently, we have the capability to produce over 40 million tons of steel, but we are in the process of re-engineering this matter, and in the near future, we will reach this figure."
